Description

Stainless Steel Ramp Assist Spring, Hinge Mount for 1/2 ID Shaft, RH

(Only RH is available at this time)  


This heavy-duty ramp assist spring is designed to fit onto the ramp hinge shaft (the round horizontal bar that holds the ramp to the trailer body). They can become slack with age & need replacement. These springs will fit on a 1/2 in. diameter shaft.  They are made slightly larger, because they will get smaller when torque is applied.

Coils: 17 coils of 8.33mm (or close to 1/4″) diameter stainless steel

Spring body: 1 1/4″ W X 5 5/8″ L

Tails: offset 2 1/2″ & 3 3/4″ straight

Weight: 1.5  lb. each

Torque: 537 inch pounds @ 125 degrees deflection

This is the only stainless steel spring we sell, and we do not offer custom-sized springs.
