Description

Ramp Assist Spring, 2″ ID Hinge Mount 

These heavy-duty ramp assist springs are designed to fit onto the ramp hinge shaft (the round horizontal bar that holds the ramp to the trailer body). They can become slack with age & sometimes need replacement. These springs will fit on a 2 in. OD diameter shaft. They are made slightly larger, because they will get smaller when torque is applied.  When you are standing behind the trailer looking at the ramp, the left-hand springs are on your left, the right-hand springs are on your right. Each spring sold separately.

Coils: 8 of 1/2″ steel alloy

Spring body: 3 1/4″ W X 4″ L

Tails: inside: 6 1/4″ L–outside: 6 3/8″ L

Weight: 4lbs, 3 oz. each

Torque:  3187 pounds/inch

This is the largest diameter spring that we sell.

We do not offer custom-size springs.
